Willow Creek Ranked among Best in State

Willow Creek Country Club is nestled against the dramatic Wasatch Mountains, just minutes from world-renowned ski resorts and Salt Lake City.  The 150 manicured acres awaken each spring to a profusion of flowers, mature trees, waterfalls, and fountains.  The 18-hole golf course is tended with utmost care and kept groomed to full lushness.  Members enjoy dramatic views of the Wasatch Mountains while playing golf on our long, challenging--but playable--course.

For another year Willow Creek has also ranked in Best of State, and is still #1 in the valley.

Willow Creek is proud to be one of the select golf courses chosen by the PGA to host the Utah Championship Tournament.

A membership at Willow Creek affords the privilege of playing challenging golf with friends against the dramatic beauty of the Wasatch Mountains, enjoying being pampered with fine dining, and taking part in our year-round fun and relaxing social activities geared to both adults and families.

It was in 1957 that a visionary group—“The Twenty-Five Associates”—took a chance and purchased 166 acres of rocky, undeveloped stream bed with the idea of developing a first-rate golf course and country club in the then-remote southeast corner of the Salt Lake Valley.

The hard work paid off.  Willow Creek Country Club celebrated its fiftieth birthday in 2007.  The clubhouse and golf course have evolved and kept pace throughout the years, but one concept remains central: Willow Creek is a lifestyle that continues to enhance the lives of its members, their families, and their guests.

The golf course at Willow Creek was renovated in 2005, providing both functional and aesthetic improvements.  Major water features were added, and a straight irrigation “ditch” evolved into an undulating canyon stream that mimics the creeks that flow through Big and Little Cottonwood canyons, both located just minutes from Willow Creek.  Cement cart paths have been redirected throughout the course to take better advantage of the tree-filled, mature landscaping that graces the property.  Sixteen new bunkers add more challenge to the course, and all existing bunkers and tees were refreshed.

This year members voted for a new clubhouse to be built which will enhance the experience at Willow Creek.

Willow Creek is looking forward to another fifty years of great golf, camaraderie, and memories for its members.  You are invited to be a part of the legacy.
